Harry Papaeleou is an entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist whose journey has been shaped by years of challenges, perseverance and personal growth.
He grew up in a humble, hardworking Greek family. His father was a farmer and his mother was a homemaker. From them, he learned the values of persistence, respect and integrity. School was never easy for him and he struggled to complete high school. Yet from an early age, he demonstrated a natural aptitude for computers and technology, driven by curiosity, problem-solving and an instinctive ability to understand systems and find ways to improve them.
For two decades, he worked as an employee. One of his first jobs was at KFC. Soon after, he began working as a self-taught computer and network technician at a small company while living in a semi-basement apartment and saving whatever he could. On some nights, he even slept on the company couch to save on commuting costs. Those early experiences tested his endurance, strengthened his resilience and taught him the value of dedication, stability and continuous personal growth.
He later spent sixteen years at a large Greek organization as a computer and network technician, gaining extensive hands-on experience and steadily developing his technical expertise. Despite his dedication, professional growth and years of service, his salary remained low and opportunities for meaningful advancement were limited. Eventually, he decided to leave, a turning point that would shape the next chapter of his life.
Through persistence, consistency and teamwork, he turned years of experience into opportunity and built POS Point, a profitable, debt-free, multimillion-euro Greek company. Today, the company serves more than 38.500 clients across 15 EU countries and has a growing team of 19 people. Beyond technology and payments, he is also an active real-estate investor.
For Harry, true freedom means living with intention and authenticity. Over the years, he has come to appreciate the importance of building businesses and systems that can grow without constant oversight, creating lasting value while preserving control over his time. He believes success is measured not only by financial achievements but also by the value created, the people supported and the opportunities made possible. To him, wealth is about more than money.
